We will depart from Athens, driving north on a scenic 2-hour drive to Delphi. Upon arrival, we will continue on the  guided tour of the ancient sites.

Delphi is known for the oracle at the sanctuary that was dedicated to Apollo during the classical period.

According to Aeschylus in the prologue of the Eumenides, it had origins in prehistoric times and the worship of Gaea.

Delphi : is located in lower central Greece, on multiple plateaux/terraces along the slope of Mount Parnassus, and includes the Sanctuary of Apollo, the site of the ancient Oracle.

After visiting the sites we will depart on a scenic drive back to Athens, on the way we will stop at the mountain village of ARACHOVA, built on the south slopes of Parnassus, well known for its quilts, as well as for its wine and cheese.

After having some free time, we will be on our way back to Athens.
